NVFC offers membership in new EMS/rescue section

The National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) has launched a new EMS/Rescue (EMS/R) Section to provide volunteers in an EMS or rescue delivery system with information, education, services, and representation to enhance their professionalism. Join the EMS/R Section and become part of this group of individuals dedicated to volunteer EMS and rescue operations.

"The NVFC has always been committed to the emergency medical and rescue services," said EMS/R Section Chair Ken Knipper. "The new EMS/R Section allows a further platform for the NVFC to focus on these efforts and for EMS and rescue personnel to provide a stronger voice in the organization. We encourage all EMS and rescue personnel to join the EMS/R Section and let your voice be heard."

Membership in the EMS/R Section is only $15 and comes with many benefits, including:

  • Voting rights. Each member has the ability to vote at the Section's bi-annual meetings.
  • Raising the profile of volunteer EMS. Members can affect change by working collectively on legislation, standards, codes, and other policy areas that impact volunteer EMS.
  • EMS Update. Members receive an e-newsletter that is specific to EMS issues.
  • NVFC Member Benefits. All Section Members also receive full NVFC member benefits.

To join the EMS/R Section, you must be a member of the NVFC. Learn more about the EMS/R Section and join at www.nvfc.org/ems. Learn more about NVFC membership at www.nvfc.org/membership.
