Ind. firefighter-medic dies of heart attack in station

Chad Null had just returned to the firehouse after completing two medical emergency calls when he collapsed

SULLIVAN, Ind. — A firefighter-medic died after suffering a heart attack in a firehouse in Sullivan, Indiana, on Thursday.

Chad Null, 33, had just returned to the station after finishing two emergency medical calls when his coworkers found him unresponsive on the floor, according to Firefighter Close Calls.

His co-workers attempted to resuscitate him before transporting him to a local hospital. Soon after he was pronounced dead.

He leaves behind his wife and two children.

Funeral arrangements are pending.
