Ohio flight paramedic dies of heart attack

WELLSTON, Ohio — A flight paramedic in Ohio died Tuesday of a heart attack while on duty.

Shawn Baker, 42, worked for the MedFlight Mobile Intensive Care Unit (MICU) division as well as the Rotor wing division for 22 years.

He was on duty at the Wellston base when he died.

Paramedic Baker is remembered for his "great sense of humor, kind demeanor and commitment to educating the Southern Ohio region and community," according to a MedFlight announcement.

His funeral arrangements are pending, and will be posted on MedFlight's website and Facebook page.
