Runaway bus kills Ohio EMS medic

CINCINNATI — One woman died and three other people suffered injuries from a runaway Metro Bus at a Bond Hill High School this morning.
It happened at Woodward High School on Reading Road around 8:45 a.m.
The Metro bus was parked behind a First Care ambulance that brings disabled students to school.
The Metro driver, 46 year-old Bridgette Robinson of Avondale, left the driver's seat to go to the rear of the bus. The bus began moving forward.
40 year-old Sherry Pettit of Harrison, Ohio was the driver of the First Care ambulance. Police say she was opening the rear doors of the amulance when she was struck. She died a short time after arriving at University Hospital.
37 year-old April Travis, of Mt. Washington, a First Care employee, was injured.
19 year-old Alexis Pickens of Westwood, a student passenger in the ambulance, was also injured.
A 15 year-old pedestrian was also injured.
No charged have been filed in the accident.
